About Daryl Wheeler
Daryl started his Law Enforcement career in 1986 as a Sgt-At-Arms for the California State Assembly. He handled Dignitary Protection.
Graduated from the Oakland Police Academy in 1989
Daryl was sworn into the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Department by Sheriff Richard Rainey in 1989. He started his new assignment at a 655 bed maximum-security Detention facility. Daryl advanced quickly and became a Jail Training officer and Instructor
Daryl transferred to the patrol division and in 1993, named “Rookie of the Year” by the Contra Costa Deputy Sheriff’s Association
First Term as Bonner County Sheriff. Sworn in on January 12, 2009.
